It is November. I used to be one of those people who refused to celebrate anything Christmas until after Thanksgiving. But last year the holidays just whooshed by too fast. So if I start early, that gives me more time to sing carols, do good deeds and dream of sugarplums. Or whatever it is about Christmas that is magical to you.
Besides, we'll be in Utah over Thanksgiving, which may mean I can see the lights at Temple Square turn on, which I am pretty sure I haven't seen since I was ten. Here's to hope.
So right now I am looking at 2010 calendars. I want one for my cubicle that makes me think of prettier things than a cubicle. My requirement is that it has to clearly outline the weekends and days of the week. You'd be amazed at how many calendars don't. There is stylish and then there is purpose, and I need to be able look at the calendar at a glance and plan life.
Here's my list.
2010 Tea Towel Wall Calendar - Queen Anne's Lace, $42, Etsy shop Cicadastudio
Seriously, fabric in a cube. That never happens.
Crispin Finn calendar, £13.00 GBP
Slightly utilitarian, but I kind of like it with the colors and the font.
2010 Letterpress Calendar with Ribbon, from San Diego based DelphineStudio, $24
Exceptionally girly, yet the letterpress makes it nice.
2010 Desktop Calendar LIMITED EDITION InkSpot Workshop, $18
This was meant for an office and kind of matches the one I have now.
At home, this calendar might help motivate us to save for Paris. Kind of tempted to do this around San Diego. Anyone want to take the walking tour of the Gaslamp Quarter with me?
Perpetual Paris - Photo Collage and Perennial Calendar, $49, at Etsy shop Little Brown Pen

Omg I love the fabric calendar (first one). I wonder if the etsy artist could make it in red or aqua for me. That would match my decor better. Also the photo collage one (last one) is fabulous! I'm thinking that's going on the DIY project list!
These are great... More ideas please
:-)
walking tour of the gaslamp? sounds great. we should do it together. no really.
