Found in San Diego - San Dieguito Park

My parents visit a few weeks ago was the perfect excuse to explore.

This park piqued my interest when I first heard about it - 125 acres of park in the middle of Del Mar. When I hear Del Mar, I think fairgrounds, horse races and pretty beach, not "oh there's a gigantic park there."

But the San Dieguito Park quickly entered my favorite list of San Diego discoveries.

First of all, it is huge. We were there over the weekend and no one was there. Or at least it felt like we were all alone. That is really the important part, no?

They had these great look out points. I was so proud of the puppy for learning how to walk across the bridge. Amazing how I feel pride for this little child who really isn't a child.

That park was amazing. We had so much fun with the three of you! Thank you - let's go back.

Just make sure you go to San Dieguito Park, not San Dieguito RIVER Park. Yah ... made that mistake at a wedding once. It was definitely at the pretty park with lots of trees and not at the entrance to a waste management facility we ended up at instead because of the name confusion. =)
