My pink corner

Everything here reminds me of good things. A washbasin that I picked up at an antique store in Utah - Emilie Jayne - reminds me of my hoop skirt days. A needlepoint pillow that my Young Womens leader made for me. Lacy doilies made my my great-grandma, affectionately known as G-Wall (grandma still breaks it down at 93).

And a beautiful orchid that I am trying desperately to keep alive. It was a birthday present and it absolutely makes the corner perfect.

It all sits on a jewelry stand that my mother-in-law had as her first jewelry box, and saved it for years for my husband's wife.

(and yes, he takes up a whole drawer for his cufflink collection)

I can't keep orchids alive either. I've tried with three. I think it's an orchid thing, personally. ; )
