The new girl

Two people put in the resignation this week, so pretty soon I won't be the new girl. Still, makes for some funny confersation.

On the phone with the EGCA (yes, the Engineering and General Contractors Association, my job is so lush)
Me: Hi, I'd like to come to the membership meeting tomorrow.
EGCA secratary: Ok, are you sure, Donna is already coming.
Me: Um, no, that's fine I'm coming, I'll call you if otherwise.

Click...now back at the office:

Me: "Pss, Michelle-- do you know who Donna is? Is she that one in advertising always walking around up here?"
M: "Umm, I don't know, I thought that was someone else. Let me go ask Kate."
walks away, comes back.
M: "Yeah, that's her. She doesn't look like a Donna to me though. More like a...
Me: "I would have totally pegged her as a Sally."
M: "Yeah, that's way better."
